Dimas D. Rangga Indartono, S.H., LL.M.

Mr. Indartono is a Partner in the corporate and litigation practice in Pramono Indartono with over 15 years’ of experiences advising international and Indonesian clients. Prior in co-founding Pramono Indartono , he started his career in one of the largest independent law firms in Indonesia that is ranked as a top-tier firm in many practice areas by Legal 500, Chambers Asia, IFLR, and AsiaLaw. He is very knowledgeable and well versed in very wide range of aspects of doing business in Indonesia and have lead many transactions in different sectors.

He has been extensively involved in a wide range of projects and transactions in his lawyering career, and has provided legal advice and representation in the mining, banking, project finance, foreign investment, and mergers and acquisitions sectors for multinational and domestic companies.

His practice includes general corporate law, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, mining, capital markets, foreign capital investment, project finance,  intellectual property rights, bankruptcy, restructuring, litigation and dispute resolution.

Mr. Indartono has been heavily involved in representing clients in acquisition transactions in Indonesia. He was a project leader in the acquisition of a multinational company engaged in the chemical industry, conducted by one of the largest private investment firms in the United States. He was also the project leader for the acquisition of an Indonesian company engaged in the cement industry by the largest cement company in India.

In addition to handling corporate matters, he is involved in civil and criminal litigation matters, including contract disputes and torts, and asset seizures before the Indonesian courts. His litigation experience includes:

• Successfully defending a US-based leader in the energy and petrochemical sector in a class action dispute filed by an Indonesian NGO at the Central Jakarta District Court.
• Successfully defending one of the largest multi-franchise restaurant chains in the United States in a tortuous claim for more than US$100 million.
• Representing an American global semiconductor company that designs, manufactures and markets digital wireless telecommunications products and services in the Central Jakarta District Court over a contractual dispute.
• Representing a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk and social consulting services over allegations of violating terms and provisions under the Environmental Law.
• Successfully defending a Canadian multinational best known for developing smartphones and tablets in a multimillion-dollar tort claim at the South Jakarta District Court.

Mr. Indartono graduated from the Faculty of Law of Pelita Harapan University, where he majored in business law. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2016 from the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university located in Philadelphia, USA, where he also took courses at the Wharton School of Business as part of a cross-disciplinary program.

Mr. Indartono  is fluent in English and Indonesian. He is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi), allowing him bar admittance in all judicial courts in Indonesia. He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), where in 2019 he was selected to receive the “Young Lawyer Scholarship” in connection with the IBA annual conference in South Korea. He is also a licensed Bankruptcy Receiver and Administrator and a member of the Association of Indonesian Bankruptcy Receivers and Administrators (AKPI).
